The shell I bought for my MacBook to take this now and then in my backpack. About the quality and workmanship I was the other reviews already written sufficiently. The material does not feel like real felt in, but close. Inside is lined with microfibre and this also quite pleasant to the touch.

Chemical smell I could not notice any out of the box, unlike some other bag / envelope.

But the most important: A MacBook Pro 13 "Mid 2012 fits perfectly into the shell you have to push this with a slight emphasis in the envelope and go out again for a retinal or Air ours would definitely too big because I was afraid that... it could slip out upside down.

All in all for the price a good buy!
