Made for iPhone? REALLY?

I bought this cable which seemed convenient because of its length in May 2014.
Today, in January 2015, less than a year after the purchase, the cable does not just does half the time.
And I can see that the price DOUBLED in less than a year too. At the time, I bought for around 20 euros.
In short, nothing can replace the official products of Apple, even in cables ...
The term "MFi" or Made For iPhone, iPad and everything remains rather doubtful, for that, I blame Apple pluss that manufacturers have managed to get this sign. Yes, because for this cable, I have many times the words "This accessory is not supported ... blah" on the iPhone screen.
