I've been around for several years, some Osram energy saving lamps of this type at my home in use. Of those at my home I was always confident. While the first generation (Made in Germany) needed something to full light output, but were otherwise OK. The newer (also Made in Germany) were real quick starter and have also been at the light output no reason to complain.
The energy-saving lamps now offered here (Made in China) are not qualitatively comparable to the old produced in Germany but unfortunately in my eyes. The light output is in my opinion much too low, and the color is too hot (I have received from Lichtliferant lamps with 2500K color temperature).
The lights go back and I'll buy better for the same price 10St normal 60W bulbs.
Sad but true, you get - even with well-known manufacturers - almost exclusively poor quality from the Far East :(
Addendum:
I checked again: the old lamps (Made in Germany) had 12W consumption and could well replace the light output forth normal 60W bulbs.
The offered here (Made in China) have a consumption of 11W and should correspond as specified on the packaging of a 52W bulb and not as described in the article, a 60W bulb!
Mir are too dark, the lamps offered here clearly. What help me 1W less if I only get a dark Funzel ?!
