To make a long story short, it has been written here a lot for this product so I consider myself short.
The adapter is quickly set up and working in conjunction with my PS2 (old model 40GB) perfect. This adapter is plugged into a switched outlet. In this (my) model, the PS3 will remain off when the adapter is turned "on" is. It has thus done what.
