Canon EOS 6D SLR Digital Camera Body Only 20.6 Mpix Black (Electronics)

Customer Review

SLR camera with great ideal sensor for easy operation.
There are several objective reviews on this product, and I do not pretend to do the same.
But allow me to write what I feel, the benefits of this product, its drawbacks, for whom it is done and that it is not appropriate.
The case is nice to take in hand, we directly feel the difference with a small box at XXXD sensor.
The menu is intuitive and is not very complicated. The side view bar is useful.
In short, I think it suits me perfectly in its grip.
As advantages over other cases:
- Rendering is beautiful. How different colors and depth of field over a small sensor.
- ISO management is exceptional. When a small sensor Canon has a limit of 1600 not to exceed the 2000 6D fun. Almost no noise. In 3200 starts the noise, but is not visible. 6400 is the limit not to cross.
I put myself so systematically Auto ISO, what I did not do with a small sensor as in 1600, it was terrible.
- Silent Trigger is really not bad! And useful when you do not want to get noticed ^^
- The "more" as WIFI, GPS, micro setting goals, etc.
These advantages make it THE housing if you want one better than your small sensor, or if you just want to pass on the full frame. No need to go for the 5D III, which costs over 1000 more expensive, unless you are demanding.
New for 1500, this is a good investment and resells easily.

As drawbacks, there are:
- The distribution and the number of collimators. Quite low in number and all centered in the viewfinder, the 6D does not allow too much to ask for the intensive monitoring. It hangs, but is not designed for that. The 5D III, 7D or II most suit you in this case.
- The rate of trigger: 6 ips I think. Still, a higher rate is expected to more cases "sports" with good coverage collimators. Drawback which is related to the first.
- One slot for memory cards. Not a problem, but a "plus" missing ^^

I think it 6d is ideal for use "landscape", "architecture" and "portrait". It is perfect as the first full frame housing.
If it is joined with a second housing with small sensor as the 7D II, it will be the perfect combo because it will bring the range coefficient 1.6 and more, autofocus built for other uses "sports", "animal" etc, and a rate of 10 fps.
