Screen:
- An unpleasant green cast, which is less pronounced in the various different screen settings.
- The SM-P900 has the same number of pixels as a Note 10.1, ie 2,560 x 1,600. Because of the 2.1 inch (5.3 cm) larger screen size, therefore, the pixel density is much lower than with a 10.1 display. This results in apps with high graphic resolution, fast motion and many diagonal / curved structures to unpleasant steps effects. For example, Real Racing 3 looks at the SM-P900 from not as good as on a 10.1-inch tablet with WQXGA resolution. Since it does not help to keep the SM-P900 farther away from the eyes.
Connectivity: As always with Samsung tablets and smartphones the usual annoyance with the connection to an HDMI television or video projector. After all, there is an adapter (ET-H10FAU), that was not at all Samsung tablets and smartphones that. Wireless can be only transferred media content (videos, photos, sound), but not with DLNA.
Other:
- The cover of micro SD shaft is too soft. For fixed grab at the appropriate point you press a cover and the micro SD card is released. Especially annoying when you have current Apps on the map.
- Navigation buttons: located at the worst of all possible sites, namely the bottom center. So exactly where the tablet at the cozy reading in bed is on your stomach. In most cases, the tablet can naturally rotate through 180 °. Annoying is the omission of the menu button. The long pressing the "Recent" button is not a good solution. Softkeys I have not tried yet.
- S Pen: There is the Android environment, in my opinion is nothing better than the S Pen technology. Contrary to certain statements of the S Pen is pressure-sensitive, at least when used with sketchbook for Galaxy. However, the supplied S Pen for large hands to tiny. But it fits in Tablet's. Who wants to work closely with the pen (and who would otherwise buy a Galaxy Note Pro ??) will quickly grab eg a Wacom Bamboo Stylus CS-3002 feel.
