Map to avoid for drives larger than 750 mega

I purchased this card to give a touch of youth to a PC running XP because it allows to connect 2 SATA drives (there are 3 SATA connectors but in fact only two are functional, the external only one dubliquer 2 internal ports).

No worries for installation. The latest drivers are 5.5b (the 5.90a also work but should not be used in RAID according to the information that I collected on the net).

I have not personally tested the fault mode raid time and you will understand why.

This card has fulfilled its main objective. Unfortunately, it presents a huge problem. His VIA chipset is old or even obsolete. It does not support drives with capacities greater than 750 gigabytes.

The records of more than 750 gigabytes are well recognized and work but ... slow ... 10 mega / sec write but fall to 1 mega / sec !!!!! reading. After scouring the forums, if the disk is over 750 gigabytes, you must first partition the partitions of less than 750 gigabytes.

Morality, this card loses much interest because it will take more than a week to transfer 1 terabyte of data ...
