Jazz Ensemble Baden WürttembergSie belong to the elite of the German Jazz, are excellent soloists, all have big band experience and maintain every man for himself an own unmistakable style: Peter Lehel (saxophone), Thomas Siffling (trumpet), Kristjan Randalu (Piano) Axel Kühn (bass), Bodek Janke (percussion). Five jazz musician of the top class arrange to meet at a common project in which everyone has their individual musical backgrounds brings: the orchestral expertise of Peter Lehel, the zeitgeist coined sound of Thomas Siffling, the multicultural influences of Kristjan Randalu, the melodic affinity Axel Kühn and the world music preferences of Bodek Janke.

Each ensemble member controls on this CD with own Kompositonen. Due to the different musical tastes and backgrounds, created a diverse mix that a closed band sound results despite stylistic Varientenreichtum.

All five musicians is jazz laureates of the State of Baden-Württemberg, who established himself as instrumentalist, composer and bandleader a name in the German and European jazz scene. The project Jazz Ensemble Baden-Württemberg as a band of bandleader and jazz winners came at the initiative of Peter Lehel. The occasion was the participation of Baden-Württemberg at Europe's most important Jazz Fair Jazzahead in spring 2013. They wanted to arrive not only with a beautiful state but also lead the musical skills in a common and homogenous sound together and present. Result is an album that stands out melodically, creative surprises and combines diversity with homogeneity.
