The DisplayPort cable is connected to my Eizo monitor and the MacBook Pro. The communication between the two devices work properly. If I turn off the monitor then changes my Mac in the standalone mode. The other way around is instantly recognized that the monitor is on and image is displayed immediately.

Cable is very well made. The side with the miniDisplaport is somewhat broad advised why the next Macbook no thick USB sticks / fit cable.
