This comment relates to the first volume of this diptych: one must admit that two thirds of the book are in the style of a Louis XVI biography (during and at the end of his reign).
This first volume thus stops at the latter's death in January 1793, opening the Revolution on a darker ball, strengthening the war republican factions (instead of cement in the blood of the monarchy).
Effective work that must necessarily be opened with the second volume (More on the Revolution in itself).
