I admit that i took my time, not by laziness, but simply because I did not finish, see the end approaching always causes a brutal blow Darret. This book is not a novel nor an essay nor a biography, this is a curious mix of fiction, psychobiography and therapeutic pedagogy (terms used by the author in his thanks). In his reading, I have done THE meeting bibliotherapy.
Threw hermetic philosophy, Yalom was able to reconcile with the discipline and above all he managed a feat by giving me furiously want to read Schopenhauer! In the Method Schopenhauer psychology and philosophy are competing without yet actually conflict.
Think again, this is not a pretentious book, nor convoluted and rather soak in history, Yalom leads to some reflection on death and on life.
The death but also loneliness, relationship with others, sexuality and the image we have of ourselves, are analyzed in an accessible corner. We really feel daborder without difficulty many philosophical concepts.
The story:
