My best shave with the 799cc

*** First impression when unpacking and delivery ***
The package includes:
- Braun Series 7 799cc Wet & Dry Shaver
- Charging / cleaning station
- Clean & Renew CCR Reinigungskartusche
- Power cord with plug for connection to the cleaning station or directly to the shaver
- Very high quality leather travel case
- A really small cleaning brush, but served its purpose
- Operating

The first impression is very positive. The razor itself and the accessories (in this case mainly the travel case) feel very high quality and are very well made at first glance. Only the cleaning station is not very different from the more favorable Braun models and is just plastic.

When you buy a Braun shaver with this station for the first time, will probably be surprised by the size precisely this. But after finding a suitable place in the bathroom, you get used to it very quickly. Especially in terms of comfort, such a cleaning station is really convenient because it's fun to have a new quasi-acting and new smelling razor in his hand before every shave.

*** The shave ***
I shave only dry for years and used to date an older Braun shaver. Here, I had unfortunately often after shaving red spots on the face or it were not cut during shaving every now and then individual hairs properly. The next day, the skin irritation were sometimes still visible.

This is the Series 7 799cc fortunately completely different: The five individual comfort settings - extra-sensitive (1) to intense (5) - allows the shaver to difficult areas such as the neck adapt and I had after shaving no red spots more. The skin irritations are considerably reduced by the comfort settings, the new shaving head and the revised shaving foil.

Even the shave itself is very good: Compared to my previous shaver shaving succeed faster, yet more thoroughly or is the skin smoother after that, because even the smallest hairs are recorded.

Wet & Dry:
The 799cc is fully sealed and can also be used in the shower for a kind of wet shaving. For me, it is, however, nothing. Who switch from wet to dry shaving, has with this model but maybe an easier / simpler transition. Personally, I stick with the "normal" dry shave. Because I know what I have.

*** The Cleaning ***
I have 7 799cc let the Braun Series Clean exclusively in the cleaning station. While it is possible to rinse it under the tap, but the result in the station is much better. Cleans to him after every shave one has, as already mentioned above, always feel a new razor in his hand. In addition, the shaver is then also always fully charged.

Who does not want clean after each shave, can take the Hygiene indicator right on the shaver to help. About this also the battery level is displayed and gives an indication of when the shaver should be cleaned again.

Another tip: the shaver (rather noisy unfortunately at intervals) cleaning operation of the station are not taken immediately after the end of. Taking him out of the station that is immediately after the shaving head is often not properly dried. I let him therefore usually the day (usually shaved yes you in the morning) are available in the station and take it until the evening back out.

*** Conclusion ***
For me, the Braun Series 7 799cc Wet & Dry is the best dry shaver I have ever had - but also the most expensive. So you get the best performance for your money. The shaver is handled properly and who has experienced the convenience of Braun cleaning station, you want to - not to miss - despite their size at first glance. But you have to remember that the cleaning cartridge approximately every 1.5-2 months should be replaced, as the alcohol evaporates therein. Who cleans his razor regularly, but the cartridge after this period are replacing anyway. So it come additional but manageable cost to the purchaser of such a shaver - unless you always cleans the shaver under running water, which I do not recommend.

Most importantly, the shave is this model really perfect and very gentle on the skin. I know of no better dry shaver gets the Braun Series 7 799cc Wet & Dry from me full 5 stars.
