Unlike its name, the DT990 PRO is not a helmet "studio monitoring", or at least it is not suitable for mixing and sound controls balance. It is too flattering in the high and medium high. The midrange and lower midrange are too recessed. This made it virtually aggressive high frequency still has the advantage of immediate evidence to any trace of distortion and the perverse effects of some "pluggins" and the disasters of mp3 encoding ... This is against a very good stereo headphones, very pleasant to listen to the quiet home evening (it is an open helmet). It is better to connect it to an amplifier equipped with a tone control to mitigate some high frequencies. No complaints at low frequencies that are very deep and made without any distortion. A moderate volume in "stereo" listening, DT990 is probably my best headphones. It is very comfortable to wear. I can listen for hours without listening fatigue. Astonishing though that so old design headset outperforms almost all of the current production in this price range!
