This is my first MacBook, that I use only notebooks with Windows environment for many years.
Why the switch?
At first it was just an attempt. The great feel, the euphoric reporting and of course the good experience with iPhone and iPad have made me curious. Since it was obvious to test the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
So I first ordered the entry level model with 2.3 GHz CPU and 256 SDD.
Already unpacking was a pleasure (as with Apple products always) and with the MacOS I quickly came clear. These Parallels Desktop / Win7 and everything was almost perfect.
The first disappointment came when I realized that the SSD can not upgrade. Since I had been accustomed to another. I know I had read before buying more, would have been aware to me, but learn from our mistakes.
I have "swapped" the MacBook to the 2.6GHz CPU version with 512 SSD and was amazed at the performance gain has "something stronger" brought the CPU.
I had not expected to some extent. Particularly striking is the difference my rendering of video and kompexer Photo editing. In "everyday use" (startup, Prpgrammstarts etc.), the performance gain makes naturally hardly noticeable. The exchange has thus paid off for me in two respects.
Processing, display etc. are hervoragend. I refer to the many good other reviews. I can not add anything.
Each WIN Umsteiger I recommend Parallels Desktop, which in the meantime also Retinadosplays support so that can work perfectly well with WIN programs.
I do not regret the move today.
