My new daily companion

These lines I write on my new ASUS netbook F205TA. I am a student and have been dragged always my big 15.6-inch notebook (Lenovo Ideapad Y500) with the university. For this large and heavy notebook is absolutely not suitable and I have therefore been looking for a smaller, more manageable and above all lighter netbook, it should also have a strong battery life. In my search I found the ASUS F205TA and ordered it to me. The price of around 220 came to me very well.

After about 2 days of intensive use I want to write my first review. In a nutshell: I am absolutely thrilled by the little guy. The application is widely distributed with me. View From Office to programming, surfing the net and film and video, and more. The performance is fine. For large web sites, he sometimes has slightly longer pauses than my big laptop or my desktop. But that does not at all (zumindes me). Because of the price and the long battery life I take this little smear very happy to accept it. Watch Videos on Youtube for example, runs without problems, as all Office applications. In general Windows operations I noticed no difference to my other systems. Anyone who thinks that the device already loaded when folder takes forever, I can calm down;) I even some old Tomb Raider games tested, Tomb Raider 4 and The Angel of Darkness also run very performant and without problems.

The high-and descent also takes place very quickly, in a few seconds the netbook is ready. Since it depends even with ease my 2 other systems. This is certainly due to the built-in flash memory, which reacts much faster than a typical hard drive in a normal PC or notebook. Where am just talking about the memory which is 32GB of course not very big, but perfectly adequate for office documents or other text files, which reflect the main purpose for me. I have now even a 64 GB micro SD ordered, where I can then build up my music and some movies. So we can say that even today the small memory is not a problem absolutely, when you know for what purpose this netbook is intended.

The Verareitung is also very good for a device in the lowest price range. The keyboard has a very nice tactile feedback, it is really fun to write it. Some testers would then write here, that the keyboard is pressed. But that is of course only when it expresses strong, and that does not happen during normal writing !! The border around the screen is matte, also a very beautiful thing, because there can no annoying reflections occur. Even many high-priced notebooks have this issue. The netbook feels overall to very valuable. While it is all plastic, but it is very strong plastic and it is very comfortable to hold. In addition, one can not expect a brushed aluminum for 220. Of course, it is thus also nice and light. With about 950 grams can you really take it anywhere and thanks to the size it also fits great in my shoulder bag.

Many people had reported problems with the touch pad, I can not confirm this but. The touch pad works beautifully, even the multi-touch gestures work without problems. I suspect that ASUS has replenished a patch here. Even after the standby function the gestures all have no problem.

The display also fulfills its purpose, the horizontal viewing angle stability is perfectly okay to watch a movie on third would be absolutely no problem. Vertical turn the stability is not quite as good, but that does not mean that you have to keep your head all the time still! For a device in this price range, you can very well live with it!

A true blessing is that the device fabricated absolutely no noise. No annoying up and down rotating fan, no Fesplattengeräusche or similar. Simply absolute silence and doing really well.

For battery life I can not say much Nocht. When you set up, which took about 3 hours (Windows set went fast, do not be afraid!) And was associated with many installations, however, not much has changed at the battery level indicator.

In conclusion, I can say that the device for that price is unbeatable. The performance is absolutely fine, at the processing there is also nothing to complain about. For 220 you get a very nice device so here. However, one must be clear about what you want to do with the device. For complex video editing or hardware-hungry games it is definitely not done. For someone who has to take his netbook every day in order to work normally, but it is just right. From these the above Grüden and I forgive here 5/5 stars and recommend it to anyone just lie to my heart, try this device!
