As the prices of the original Canon flashes are yet settled somewhat higher and I had only just been acquired a 270EX flash as a trip, I had to look for a cheaper alternative. After various network research, I have decided on the YN-568EXII the third party Yongnuo.
Now, after about two months in almost daily use on a Canon 7D and 100D, I'm still pleasantly surprised by the overall package:
+ Packing and out of box is all quite professional, as you know it from other photo products of various brand manufacturers and is used
+ Storage bag is made of solid material, very well made, though the Velcro could be somewhat larger
+ Additional hot shoe is included and can be stowed in the pocket
+ The feel is also completely ok - no wobbling, rattling, clean gaps
+ The hot shoe is made of metal, which one felt more stable than the plastic base gives the old Canon, the locking screw is also ok, I had anyway been so accustomed
+ The battery compartment contained a silicate bag against possible transport moisture (there was the Canon does not)
+ As well as a small sign with warning notices, which battery type to use (even this was not the Canon, with the different type of battery at the present time makes sense)
+ The battery door can be opened as usual and without Hakeln through a sliding-folding mechanism, encouraging here, the door is held open by a spring (a small but nice gimmick)
+ No problems when inserting four AA batteries, the direction of the poles can be found in a small sticker clearly visible, closing with an engaged batteries is also possible without any problems
+ The flash head can be rotated at any time, it lacks the Arretrierung like the Canon, pleasing, because that was me so far has always been something to fiddly
+ The flash head rotates through a grid plate with sufficient resistance, so the time being is not missing also an additional stop (long-term use will show whether it stays that way)
+ Over my old Canon can be the head to both sides by 180 ° turn
+ -7 ° inclination downwards is possible
+ Flash on when not in use after 5 minutes in standby, after another 5 minutes, completely made
+ High-speed sync, ETTL, master and slave works fine in use anywhere from me cameras, as well as the setting menu directly to the camera
Notices + no underexposure problems bounce flash
+ In normal use, the charging time for the flash is as usual at about 3 sec.
+ Pleasing, as opposed to the old Canon was able to ignite with the YN-568EXII 6 series flashes sequentially
+ The main function buttons can be operated better than the rubber keys of my old Canon
+ In addition to the wide-angle diffuser now finally a Bouncer Card

+/- Double occupancy is initially not always intuitive and require little training, the enclosed Faltplatz the German operating instructions are indeed translated cleanly and clearly written, but (or similar PDF) unfortunately somewhat small font, a digital instructions from the manufacturer can unfortunately not load
+/- Unlike previously used, there is no power switch but a button that must be pressed for 2 seconds to take the Blitz in operation, really a problem, but I personally like more of a "decent" switch Feedback
+/- The sound of Zommmotors is clearly audible
not begeister I am
- The included softbox is a cheaper yogurt cup that holds Worse on the flash
Conclusion
Currently, almost new and relatively short in use, can be almost nothing but good things to report. Good and like half the price of a Canon 430EXII with comparable higher functionality brings everything with what the ambitious amateur photographer can use. With a very good price / performance ratio is an alternative to the long-term use will show whether this is positive impressions remain.
