This time it was the special edition of the Sonicare HX 6932/34 be FlexCare because here another handpiece and additional travel charger were there. So could both my family and I always each use a handpiece when I'm on duty for a few days away from home. The second charger was another great benefit in this regard.
Better than the previous model:
From the additional handpiece and the travel charger apart, the cleaning performance has been obviously increased again, and that was the old model very well. The handpieces have become much leaner and the brush lies now only on a metal pin that protrudes waterproof from the handpiece. Thus, the cleaning is really a breeze to pull off the brush head, wipe with a damp cloth around the pin, attach brush head again - ready. In the previous model is still needed because fiddling with Q-Tips or similar tools and has still never been cleaned properly manage it. Besides, it has 10 times lasted longer, until it was reasonably clean.
The brush heads have now indicator bristles that by discoloration show their wear and thus the change date.
The noise is a good bit less than the previous model, which also was not noisy but in the truest sense of the word.
You can now choose additionally if brushing time should be one or three from the default set 2 minutes and you can switch on even gum massage over another setting - when you need it for.
In my model still is an ultrasonic cleaner, which I have used to date once, just to see whether and how it works. To what extent this is necessary if you should change your brush heads every three months anyway, is certainly questionable, especially as a head change was recommended every 6 months with the predecessor model, and since no ultrasonic cleaner was there.
The Plastikreiseetui now takes the handpiece and two brush heads on with, which is of course their much smaller dimensions compared to its predecessor, to lead back. Overall, it's a little longer, but become flatter.
Worse than the previous model:
I have not found anything yet, have the device but only since about 4 weeks (as of 12/09).
Some have written here that their model was broken quite quickly, this course I can not say anything but just hope that my holding as long as possible, as already its predecessor.
In fact, I can not understand but complaints about the programmed time settings of the device. Clear I have to again press the button if I want to brush my teeth more than three minutes. Something I know but please before you purchase this device, unless I was not informed beforehand. Moreover, this is probably a luxury problem first order.
And teeth or corners that are cut down by bristle heads from plastic, seem to have a very different problem than to hard bristle heads. Of course, the transition from a manual toothbrush on this device is at the beginning to get used to what this device but also offers extra-introduction stage, but when tooth destruction apparatus, it is really useless.
One can also easily get to one of the two buttons while brushing her teeth. Is already happened to me, but to at least three other cleaning operations I had to get out where the best I grab the handle, lest happened to me such a thing again. So is it a real problem, but a question of habit and the willingness of getting used to.
Conclusion:
I am glad to have again bought a Philips Sonicare, that too (I checked) at a price, as 6 years ago, just with two handpieces, two charging stations and ultrasonic cleaning, as seen thus actually better deals.
My dentist tells me every half year: "Unfortunately, I can do nothing for you." What more do you want ??
I am very pleased with this unit and it can also just taking into account the qualities that already had its predecessor, highly recommend it.
