After opening me the unusual smell is noticed, I had first to be accepted. The sensory test has unfortunately led to the same result: The Koksöl has to chemistry (can not identify properly the taste; detergent, deodorant, etc.) and tasted not like I actually know for years to fresh coconut.
I'm not sure whether the oil sold as a personal care product (plastic packaging, etc.) and therefore one shall be taken "inferior" quality in purchase, the packaging itself was contaminated, or error would otherwise seek. I have two or three times Ölmühle Solling coconut oil and red palm oil in the glass (use the empty glasses for years for a variety of purposes, are excellent ...) bought and had this problem previously. Ie that I Ölm. Solling wants to charge anything per se ...
This is my first or second review (am on Amazon for many years on the road and had nothing to complain about even with Ölmühle Solling), it is 100% based on truth. Who can not deal with truth (by for example a review wahrheitsgemäßge classifies as "unhelpful", which I can not not help). To circumvent manner and the facts about the coconut oil itself I will write nothing, because the mentally placed in the form of (conscious) people, everything should be known (stimulation of metabolism, effects of lauric acid, etc.).
Two stars only because this appears to be an exception, and I was so far good quality to expect from Ölmühle Solling in "normally" (= glass) always.
