Nearly it would have been a good compact camera

Based on the positive test reports Internet and the positive previous review I have ordered the F660EXR and tried yesterday directly. Must, to say that I've been looking for a compact as an addition to my DSLRs, and I do realize that I can not expect the same quality. As a comparison, I served the Panasonic SZ7 my wife.
The camera can very well hold for a compact camera and is well managed by the operator. The speed is also very good as the many steps, so that can be very precise zooming the zoom. In these categories, it proposes the Panasonic clearly.
By EXR modes also succeed images that are very good from the dynamic range. If you look at the pictures, they are to use the center as well in my opinion well and even at higher ISO yet.

As far as the positive aspects. Up to this point, I would have kept the camera. Unfortunately, there were also a lot more to report.

In backlight conditions, the lens produces very unsightly lentigines. As you can read on the Internet, which is a typical problem with Fuji. So I would, however, may still be alive.
Add to this a rather wobbly lens, which extended quite clearly has game and moves when you move the camera, but also that I would have accepted.
Against unacceptable is the edge blur. Already reduced to screen size you can see the drop in sharpness to the image border. From sharpness can be there no longer speak, because it is a mishmash of distortion, sogginess and artifacts. Significantly worse than the Panasonic, which is not the measure of things is likewise (the TZ-series from Panasonic or the Canon HS260 do it even better). This feathering makes the pictures unfortunately unusable for me. Not that I did not expect with a sharpness drop, but this extreme uncertainty is simply not for me.
Too bad, because otherwise the camera really is not bad and would be a welcome companion for the price was.
