Never again Epson! So you can summarize my experience after purchasing the Epson Expression Home XP 305. The printer is designed for overpriced Genuine Ink (the XL package with all the colors for the printer costs nearly as much as the printer itself !!) Other, supposedly compatible inks can be used and function well ... 1-2 pages long. Then the printer detects the ink cartridge suddenly no longer (to me during printing happens !!). After some research in the relevant forums, I have found that in his Epson printer incorporates not resettable counters that if one does not use the original ink, prevent easy after a while the other printing alternative ink. But the crowning glory of all: in inserting a completely overpriced original cartridge (instead of an alternative ink) the printer may not recognize the original ink cartridge !!! And because Epson has also incorporated a counter that the complete pressure history of the printer registered and printing eventually set (even with original ink used and when the printer actually is still okay) I can only say again: NEVER AGAIN EPSON !!!
