No need for installation, this mini fan being turned me directly at the USb connection. For my part, it fulfills its functions, that of my laptop cool. Fun, because it moves e positions in all directions with his rod handy. Black Point, it will unfortunately get used to living with a bee buzzing daily ... But, overall satisfactory for the price, just plug your headphones ^^
