I am relatively narrow and the carriers are still well on the shoulders. On comfort can not be faulted, the carriers are well padded and wear well over a long period.
I use it now for small day trips: a blanket, a small snack, a drink (1 liter bottle) and a book go well together inside. But then he is also quite busy.
