In order to understand my situation I have a brief to explain what I live on the 1st floor of our house with a solid construction which is. Of course, correspondingly thick concrete walls. And from the router to the room where the computer is going through but some walls. With my old router, the WRT54G Lynksys I install alternate operating system DD-WRT and increases the transmission power of the antenna manually. What indeed allows reception, but because not all wireless modules are the same start, some units are good, some bad networked.
So I've just bought this router, unfortunately this has a worse worlds to transmit power than the old, unfortunately.
But what I can not deny is that if not a lot of walls, or any solid walls between the router are a much larger range!
My conclusion:
+ Beautiful design + Easy to set up (even for non advanced users) + Good coverage at little disturbing influences which
- Price - Poorer performance in direct comparison with a few years old device from the same manufacturer!
