Positives:
- Bluetooth remote control, so the player is also no line of sight to operate
- Other Bluetooth devices can be coupled (eg, cell phone, and then also via APP controllable, mouse, keyboard)
- Integration of YouTube and various Google services (Play Movie, Play Music)
EDIT 10:04:15:
- You can connect a mouse via Bluetooth, but the mouse movements are not fluid, which makes a mouse operation somewhat difficult.
Negatives:
- DLNA / UPnP / SMB integration only via additional APP (EDIT 04/10/2015: I take KODI).
- No APP for save.tv
- No APP for Amazon Prime Instant Video (supposedly but yet to come).
- No APP for Flixster / Ultraviolet
Conclusion:
all players DLNA / UPnP / SMB integration of existing media seems to have been completely forgotten. If you want to play something, then you have the cloud of those sites, upload the data, which is not always desired (especially for private recordings, Who knows who then gets to see it all).
If you have purchased a Digital Copy via buying movie, then you can not always play these currently on the player. Some of these films will be released on Google Play Video, some on Flixter and for the latter there are currently no app for the Nexus Player.
What a pity that the media pit cover still only part of the needs.
