Focus on long distance carefree by car or manual on objective and AUTO on the device. I have not tried in other modes for lack of time, and I suppose that it is impressive on distant external landscape modes by refining the nikon.
In macro, it is very efficient, you still have to respect the distance vis a vis the subject, and personally I tried the manual that shot it to get the picture I wanted.
