My conclusion after 1/2 year:
A camera that really in the purchase worthwhile. Especially good is the folding screen, so that
1. No more heads are found on photos below,
2. a kneeling on muddy surfaces is no longer necessary when such photos. B. to be made at the knee and
3. if you are a Selfie type that Selfies can be made without puzzles, how it might look to you. You can control everything well.
The quality of the videos is good. Not to compare with a "pure" film camera. But still good. Only zooming is not so simple. The focus is slightly delayed.
Disadvantage of the photos is that the LifeView the storage period is very clear. A "traditional" attitude apparatus is advantageous. Series can be better photographed. LifeView should be the subject unusual situations in which the folding screen is required.
The shelf life of the battery is good, but I would recommend to take at least 1 spare battery. My record is (for sports photography with approx. 900 trips and 5 smaller films) with 3 batteries in one day.
At very high ISO values it comes to images noise is, however, not specific to the Nikon, but normal for non-professional cameras.
I would buy me the Nikon D5200 repeatedly because price / performance are very good. Who thinks that he needs absolutely WLAN transmission to his computer and GPS, has to resort to the successor D5300.
