This is the first time that I had to buy a new toner for the printer; of the purchase in the main unit has held about 2 months until the printer has refused at once to recognize the toner. This one has held for about 3 months, and I, however, much more have printed - though does not guarantee 1000 pages (500 if at all). It is annoying that the printer eventually claiming to no longer recognize the toner cartridge (although still plenty of toner is present), but online there are fortunately a lot of guidance on how that can handle easily. And even if the specified number of pages in my opinion is wrong, this toner is still much more durable and cheaper than cartridges. Since the quality of the print is correct, I can recommend buying despite the aforementioned shortcomings.
