Canon EOS 70D SLR Digital Camera (20 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, 7.6 cm (3 inch) display, Full HD, WiFi, DIGIC 5+ processor) body only (Electronics) 5
I have now bought the camera for Christmas 2014 at Amazon, after I had a long time indecisive because of reported AF issues. I have 4 bright fixed focal lengths (28 1.8, 40 2.8, 50 and 85 1.8II 1.8) and a few EF-S zoom. None of the lenses there are problems. Experimental setup: tripod, mirror lockup, middle AF point over the viewfinder, the subject is approx 7-8 meters, maximum aperture, 2 second timer. Except for the objectively conditional, varying degrees of light blurs at maximum aperture I can see the catastrophic behavior that had to find other buyers at no lens. Even the bitchy 50 1.8II brings perfect results. My plan had been to exchange the camera if defective once; if the unusual event would also be encountered in the second: to return money back and check off the model. After I do not think Amazon as broken any returned cameras as warehouse goods adjusts easily again, but returned to Canon, this approach is in my opinion well suited to manufacturers to repeatedly encounter the problem and has to move for reasons of cost to the matter to rid the world - that he does may implicitly, I can understand: a large-scale product recall would be embarrassing.
Otherwise, I can all the 5-star reviewers here only agree: great camera.
