I liked the new Latte Macchiato very good and three colleagues are of the same opinion.
We suspect that the milk has not changed much, but that just less water is flushed through the discs by the new barcode. This gives indeed a smaller volume and less foam, but the latte tasted less diluted and thus actually creamy / sweet and to me personally even better.
Just a pity that one can produce more so Macchiato no "real" bar, which fills a 0,3l glass.
Supplement 05.10.2010
Today I received an answer to my power of amount complaint with the following content:
"As of November we will Tassimo Latte Macchiato back with the original filling height of usual 275ml offer.
Consumer surveys have shown us that the creaminess of the drink and the "milky" flavor are particularly popular with coffee drinks with milk. This has led us to change the composition of the milk lattes. The new formulation contains more whole milk concentrate, a little more sugar and is cooked with a little less water. This results in addition to a total of more creamy, full-bodied taste with milchigeren consistency but also to a reduced level in the glass or cup.
We apologize that you were irritated by it. As described above, you will again get the new recipe shortly with the usual filling level of 275ml commercially.
We hope to convince you then again with both our improved formulation, as well as the capacity. "
Supplement 24.07.12:
ATTENTION! For several weeks there are new discs with allegedly improved foam. 285ml recognizable in the new capacity. Thus we force food has unfortunately proved no service. Instead more and more foam filling is now diluted Latte Macchiato, poorer foam and even less capacity. I of course immediately criticized at Kraft Food and posted the new discs. Unfortunately, I only received the terse answer that all discs were in order and no fault was found. If you want to dub as "no error" the fact that the new mixture at the customer does not arrive, then has power right, of course. I thought they spanked so than formerly enthusiastic customer!
