In cigarette lighter of an Opel Astra it locates, fixed, not shaking, no contact problems.
However, with regard to some devices, there is a big problem:
Some devices load via USB only when the USB connection not only supplies power, but also a signal to the two center data lines is present. Unfortunately, this charger does not provide such a signal here. Affected example was my Nokia E7, which I use in the car as Navi. Google finds> 1M matches for the problem.
Man can now admirably argue, who is to blame, but it would be cool if the charger had just a small switch to close the two USB data lines short, that's enough after only completely to provide a data signal and to load all to allow devices.
With minimal technical skills you can, however, also manage themselves: I have the two middle contacts, these are the two file lines, just soldered together. With a fine soldering iron (about this soldering station), this is achieved without the plastic cover is damaged.
