I have the headbox II now for over a year in operation. Currently, with a Bose AE2. Although a listener who is, as so often wrongly denigrated, but brings an enormous fun factor with him.
Like the headbox. It is top handles. Has solid connections and a decent potentiometer. I can hear noise or crackle in any way.
The sound I would describe as a very neutral. Power more than enough even on a high-impedance KH.
The one and only criticism one can attribute to the headbox, if does not have, is the lack of power switch.
The device verbrät permanently current. I have measured 6 watts. It's a lot!
This could have been safely dissolve better by a simple switch. So the device is currently running with me 24 hrs. A day through, because I have no power strip with a switch on my HiFi system for certain reasons.
Well, me bringts about anything :-)
All in all, a really affordable and good and neutral sounding KHV.
