If the telescope itself seems an acceptable production quality (although the plastic accessories make low-end and the optical quality is the average final), it does not hold true for the frame! What is sold for EQ3 is actually the equivalent of an EQ2 in more "serious" brands (Sky Watcher for example). Stability is more than questionable, and the quality of manufacturing barely average. The clamping screw of the counterweight for example jumped from my first use. Result: a screw that rotates in a vacuum and a possible counterweight to tighten. And I'm not talking about the red dot researcher, a joke plastoc 2! Fortunately, the seller was enough to take me shopping this crap. I instead bought the 150/750 SkyWatcher on EQ-3-2, and that's the day and night side manufacturing quality and strength of the tube and the frame. More play in the brakes, adjusting the much more fluid and simple frame, impressive stability (related to weight, ouch, it's much heavier than Omegon!) And optical quality at the rendezvous.
My advice, for 60 to 100 more (as sellers), take SkyWatcher. The price difference is well worth the leap. Besides, the Omegon seems expensive for the poor quality it offers!
