Of course a small downer:
To light up vigorously, the Beetle is frankly not quite with full batteries a bit too weak.
His territory I see more in urban areas, so wherever yet another artificial light sources are available, and where "being seen" rather to instead "illuminate" in arriving.
On the off-road tour in stockfinsterem forest, I would not actually take him.
Then this LED light is not actually useless where it is too weak?
Well, yes SUPPLEMENTING just in the dark winter months, it does still good services ...
... For example, in addition to a fixed dynamo lighting system, you need anyway because of the highway code.
Or as a front-side light that one case of poor light or misty weather before switches on where you still do not feel like the Dynamo. Or if the side runner dynamo weakens in rain or snow.
Or if you can not drive as fast because of a (children's) bike trailer that the Dynamo neatly brings light output. Or just as daytime running lights. Or as a backup, just in case a light bulb burns out on a long tour.
So the Knog Beetle is with me here very often and in many different ways in use, and always with. Precisely because it is so nice and small, though I sometimes have also fixed bicycle lights on my wheels.
Of course, one should not overburden the tolerance of the police towards these not actually approved at the wheel lights. A police officer may favorably take note if one takes into downtown by a small flashing light or continuous light for other road users voluntarily slightly more perceptible.
On a dark road in the pouring rain with a lying on its last legs in the battery LED light, he likes the face of such a Funzelei but then before the trowel extend ...
As taillight I would always prefer a Knog Skunk solely for the design and brightness.
