*** My Opinion ***
More than the blurb should also not be revealed, because during questioning by Stephanie Harker by Agent Vivian McKuras the reader learns little by little the whole backstory. Thus the reader will never know when the police and the voltage increases gradually. I was the book hardly put it down because there was one surprise after the other and if you believed, you have captured the situation, there was yet another twist, with which one had not expected.
The figures were presented realistic and authentic and I was able to share the excitement with Stephanie Harker and Vivian Kurras looking for Jimmy.
In particular, the complexity of the characters makes up a large part of the tension, because there were acts that you would not have expected of the respective figure.
I also found it great that Val McDermid has placed value in their writing on linguistic differences between American and British English. In addition, the writing style is fluid, but you should be powerful very well of English to be able to read a book in the original.
Unfortunately, I found the end is not 100% convincing, and above all, I found it a little too abgefrühstückt afloat.
So I like to forgive less than 5 stars.
