FIRST IMPRESSION:
The player is unexpectedly large and has a classy mirrored front.
So he is fortunately not in Piano finish black or simply black plastic.
The remote control as mentioned elsewhere is simply plastic, not looks classy.
Connected devices via a HDMI cable are 1.50 m (is not in!).
COMMISSIONING:
First shock "does not go", but was only a loose connection ;-)
Then set up the properties, which similar to the TV works began. The terms are explained in the operating instructions with little pictures for laymen.
First try with a DVD. First unbefriedigene image output, worse than on the DVD player. Something to play with the characteristics of players and TV and then a much better picture also appears in DVDs :-)
Compared to the presentation on the old 51cm-tube (a PHLIPS * oops *) is of course worse than the DVD Bluray because the resolution is optimized by calculation here, but no more data can be conjured to get to Bluray.
The fact that some Blurays might run only after an update is expectable in an "older model". But then works very simply via USB stick.
USE:
No running noise, beeping OAU and no sudden drop outs or recesses.
The response times are not fast, but okay.
As with the DVD player, there is no eject button on the remote control. It must stop button be pressed a bit longer or you use the eject button on the device, when you are sitting in front of it and want to see the shekel ;-)
The Switch is the change in settings, here is - even during operation - press HOME (then stops in the background, the disc) can now select the output format to be changed in order to have optimal image (4: 3/16: 9, etc) when leaving the menu Playback starts at the previously deserted place.
Slightly annoying that there can not be switched directly overlooking the representation (as in the change over the TV menu).
About OPTIONS can be accessed directly on some simple features and also zoomed.
However, not all Bluray Zoom! In Bluray mostly black bars remain above and below by the original format 20: 9 instead of 16: 9.
Too bad, but is probably in almost all players and so willed. Of the disc manufacturers for the preservation of the original image in its entire width Mh, I renounce gladly on the left and right a few centimeters and would like to have 16: 9 Frame, as it is now times the usual TV format in normal budgets.
CONCLUSION:
For viewing experience of Silberlingen for a player mid-priced very fine.
Point deduction for cumbersome change of options and the cheap remote control.
