No problems with correct installation, with tips for pitching

Previously I used a IKEA stool with a pillow, which actually was too high for me. Therefore, I ordered a few days ago, the first 3-way adjustable keyboard bench from Classic Cantabile, however, at all did not satisfy me, especially since it was only up to 48 cm height adjustable. Looking for a real piano bench that visually fits in well with my digital piano, I discovered this model of Classic Cantabile, which is from 47 cm to 56 cm continuously height adjustable. The negative reviews kept me from buying from first, but seemed other banks from eg Tiger, Steinbach or Stagg to have the same structure and were priced about this model. Since I had already built numerous furniture incl. Kitchen and me something familiar with the design of furniture, I still chose the Piano Bank of Classic Cantabile and wanted to convince myself of the good or bad construction and possibly also make a modification. But that was not necessary. But in order.

Delivery and packaging:

Delivery will be made here by Musikhaus Kirchstein from Schongau, which can be found on the web with very good reviews. The box is relatively large, but it is another, smaller box by very well packaged and protected with lots of Styrofoam and foam, the Bank is included. The Bank itself has already assembled nearly finished, it only need the extra well packaged feet are mounted. Of course, I first examined exactly the items:

Are your feet all the same length? If there are no flaws in the paint? Are all parts available?

The questions I was able to affirm all and so it went to the building. Unfortunately, a manual is missing, would have been useful because of some important points!

Structure:

First, the feet must be fixed with the screws on the bench. To secure against coming loose tooth rings are available. These must first be put on the screws. A 17er combination wrench is and should also be used. Other open-end wrench with a longer lever tempted to tighten the screws too tightly. Then it can happen that you pull the metal inlay from the wood. Later tightening is of course mandatory.

Now it is time to consider the following: In one of the two threaded rods is a mother. This must be absolutely turned up to the to the frame of the seat-mounted flat iron! Not doing so, the Bank wobbles off to the right and left and creaks as it had some reviewers described here. Then, there is also a risk that something breaks! Hence the handle for height adjustment is easily blocked. So you have to make this after setting the correct height. After that, the Bank is absolutely stable and no longer wobbles. Unfortunately, that is missing in the description and there is no guidance here, it will have one or the other simply forgotten.

Once you have freed the bench Cord of the protective film, you put this in the frame and the construction is done.

It is also not entirely true, as one of the reviewers wrote that the weight stored only on 4 wood screws. The 4 wood screws of the two flat iron on the two short sides also bear the weight, so that it is spread over a total of 8 screws. Should break out, what I can not imagine when properly assembled, the screws yet, I would possibly pierce the screw holes and screw in a screw with metal thread and provide the head with a black cover plug. This is done in a few minutes and increases the stability enormously. Whether this is really necessary remains to be seen over time. I do not believe it.

I have the stool now just over 6 weeks use, games daily 1-2 hours and slide a lot with my 80 kg back and forth. At first, I had to follow a number of times because the stool something creaked when moving the screws. The last 3 weeks I no longer need it. The small screws in the seat are not yet broken out and have not loosened. I am still very happy with the stool and would buy it again at any time.

In my view you get here for little money a very stable piano bench that should look for proper installation a long time. Of course, it is also important to consider first the seat of the screws before you sit on it, and they do not attract even with mounting bombproof. The build quality is also very good and stable and you sit very comfortably on it. The design I feel normal, because the chair legs of a table are just as attached, as with this bank. A manual would still have been helpful
