No recommendation for the Telekom!

It all started so that actually the old port speed had to be disposed of 701 due to senility.
So long sought and (as almost always satisfied with the Telekom) considers the 723 or W 921V accurate.
723 dropped out, because this produces the same mistake as the 701. FIG.
You put as data packets to a NAS (eg multiple images) and the data packet is larger than 20 MB continuously and reproducibly breaks the wireless connection together. This is extremely annoying, since you only need to reconnect again, then copied smaller tranches and eventually only individual images or songs. Very useful.

So I thought, let's take just the more expensive W 921V. What a disappointment. Why?

The Speeport W 921V is not nearly as powerful and configurable as described.

1. Permanent WLAN crashes with automatic channel selection. Statement of Telekom support. That will not do. You'll have to set a fixed channel (11), otherwise there are interruptions in WLAN. I really ask me why the other routers are capable.

2. No port forwarding. No matter which ports to which device also always diverted. It's not working. I habs with old firmware tries with new firmware - no chance. Again, another statement Telekom hotline employee. Yes, this error is known to us for some time. We are waiting for a new firmware update. When that comes, I can not tell you. The last came no less than in May 2012!

3. The firewall can not be turned off, and thus also by the non-functioning port forwarding not configure a great solution!

4. The wall mount. Who love the part Telekom has since devised. 4 small pins holding the plastic base plate. On top of this base plate is also still been fairly loose with my W 921V. For the price is not that.

So from me it 1 point. But just because the hotline staff were very friendly. But for the router I would actually awarded 0 points for the price. The router is already on his way back ...
