I bought the scissors as a supplement for a slightly smaller lopper from discounters. The purchase decision was not least because of the many positive reviews that have consoled me of the rather high price. In my 20 years old, garden meantime constantly falling loads of trimming jobs mainly to pastures, hazel, beech, maple and fruit trees with Astdicken 2-5 cm. Positives: The gap is actually quite easy, that it can be relatively tiring to work with. By "Power-Gear" leverage even thick branches up to 55 mm in diameter can be cut with still acceptable effort, even in relatively hard, overgrown hazelnut branches. Negative: The price of the labor-saving leverage is that you have to open the scissors already for small branches very far: (!) At about 90 degree opening of the scissors, the cutting jaws are only 25 mm wide open for thick branches (55 mm) must be opened the scissors almost 170 degrees. This makes it difficult to work in the tree and makes cutting the undergrowth almost impossible. For working with reduced range of motion and thick branches scissors Ratchet is certainly more appropriate. Conclusion: The shear is light, stable and performs well, but needs this freedom of movement, which is not given often in practice. In conjunction with the relatively high price, there is for me only 3 stars.
