A 250 GB was broken after a short time and had to be replaced. Took a long time and unfortunately the data were also pfutsch.
In the second removable hard drive - a 320GB variant - now interrupts the fold and firmly attached USB cable from the inside out and the break is black and looks like charred. As if the cables inside could touch and are stewing on. In addition, I have often times the case that the board gets out or is not recognized. Is certainly on the USB cable because the HD has been tested properly. The cable was not the way overstretched by me or pulled off! In addition, the peripheral strip of Silicon dissolves at the narrow end of the housing. This was not the case with the first, older plate. Apparently the quality tends to be rather worse.
This cable so I wanted to buy more from the manufacturer. Answer: Sadly you do not sell spare parts. I was to buy an alternative housing me. That annoys me very because I only need a ridiculous piece of cable. Why should I then buy another case that also the much advertised case attenuation does not have. Always you have to buy everything new and to repair nothing ...
Am quite disappointed and will probably will no longer buy these plates. Very sad because I liked the FREECOM housing actually very ... !!!
