That's not true! The FiiO D3 (ie not the D03K) nor the Wolfson WM8805 had. The D3 is not already built since 2012. The successor D03K has as a DAC Cirrus Logic 8416, which is criticized by some reviewers, because he probably less good sound quality and cheaper than the Wolfson (citation needed).
I even looked at my on 13.03.2013 purchased D03K. This is a Cirrus Logic 8416 (and a Texas Instruments LMV358 "Low-Voltage Rail-to-Rail Output Operational Amplifier", "opamp") - but no chip from Wolfson.
Since the D3 (with Wolfson chip) no longer existed for such a long time, and the product description is still misleading, I assume this is a deliberate "mistake" of the seller. It is, after all, to sales.
By D03K itself, I am satisfied, can on the hi-fi properties but not enter, because I use the device in a "lo-fi" setting and this served its purpose well.
