I can not confirm. In my double glazing 24 mm are necessary to ensure not enough the enclosed screws. With longer screw assembly can be carried out, but the two moldings with 24 mm touch only, and shall not, as with smaller strengths, together. Thus the whole construction loses its dimensional stability, the plastic can be forgiven. So initially blocked the door by tensions of the material; gave up only after you loosen the screws slightly.
So: for thicknesses up to approx 20mm recommended at 30mm hardly useful.
