The build quality is high. The ease of use leaves nothing to be desired, the device is almost self-explanatory. The few controls are well positioned and have low pressure points, so react immediately.
The status LCD display is easy to read. The heating according to the desired temperature is quickly. The extra-wide heating plates accelerate the smoothing. Unfortunately, the device is externally noticeably warm.
The smoothing process itself is not without tangles, what my wife bothers. Whether the rounding off of the plates actually helps smooth or wavy to style, is another question. My wife achieved similar results with smooth plates of other devices.
A clear advantage is the antistatic effect. But is now also in various other manufacturers standard. Thoughtfully are the rotatable cable joint and the space-saving suspension system.
Not pleased with the required force generated when pressing together the plates. That could be smoother, with less resistance. A transport bag would also be desirable.
The unit provides functional technology and nice design. Because Udo Walz would probably have a few euros for his name-dropping, probably also shoots the price up. Is without the real value offered.
In conclusion - and because my wife could already test various other straighteners other manufacturers and thus has a possibility of comparison - coming out 3.5 stars. The unit of Beuer is not a bad - but just overpriced.
