Not cheap but very good

Am now for more than 1 week in possession of Becker 7928 and have already 1500 "navigated" so kilometers behind me. Conclusion: a fantastic device! The first impression is very positive: high-quality plastics, clean and solid build quality, overall very valent impression. The same applies to the holder: sitting firmly on the disc and is still easy to install or remove. A notable example is the bow-shaped TMC Atenne that is attached directly to the holder. If you operate the navigation device via the built-in battery (which holds about 4 hours in my experience), there is not a single cable more, the "hanging out in the area".

The navigation service is simply perfect. Even in small towns, the house number accuracy is impressive. The speed of the route calculation is perhaps not outstanding but all acceptable. Who cares already to wait 5 or 10 seconds longer before driving ?! And recalculations while driving were until now always fast enough to not get into dangerous situations.

Absolutely top class is the graphical representation. Especially, of course, the Reality View, the highway signposts reproduces in original view. Cute gimmicks like a starry sky and crescent in the night mode are mentioned only in passing. The huge for portable navigation devices screen size of 4.8 inches helps her rest for a perfect readability. Not least, can be due to the large display and the touch-screen buttons to operate accurately, without having to pick up a pen to help.

Impeccable funtkioniert the Bluetooth hands-free system that automatically detects the mobile phone once recognized repeatedly. The voice quality may not measure up to high-end hands-free perhaps, but absolutely sufficient for daily use. Both parties understand easily, and at a higher speed and corresponding ambient noise.

Nice additions are the built-in image and movie viewer and MP3 playback.

All in all a great Navi, which is certainly one of the best currently on the market. The price may be high, but from my own experience, I think the extra cost for example for Navigon 7110 is justified. Because the Becker just provides the last bit of quality and functionality, what is missing the most. Strong buy recommendation if it should be something "real".
