After sitting a course to go through the required contact hours, you want to prepare in a somewhat structured way.
That is where this book comes in wants. It, of course, tell you what the exam is about and even a sample exam Provide (Which Differs from the bank scenario you will most probably encounter in the exam and your trainer Which Should be able to PROVIDE). But it so will go and explain a number of concepts handled in the intermediate books, just on a multiple phase approach: across the lifecycle. Oh, it is therefore a bit more readable than the five big books and really helped me in passing MALC.
