Charging cable can not be used with the iPhone 5. I have tested several versions of IOS, with all the same game. After 3-5 charge cycles the Iphone denied the interaction with the charging cable.

A connection to my AV receiver (Pioneer VSX-1020k) is unfortunately not possible with an iPhone 5 even with an iPhone 3GS.
