Am now switched to a Sharkoon Drakonia Black, especially because I was well rid of the normal and was able to create new favorable ran. The Drakonia Black is no optical mouse as the Drakonia or MX518, but works with a proper laser (Avago 9800). In any case, the mouse works on the SteelSeries pad NOT. I thought something was hardly possible in those days SteelSeries is one of the providers of gaming accessories. I was and am almost shocked (yes, if you otherwise has no problem). The mouse sticks extremely when the pad is used, usually with half second dropouts. On my wooden desk that works even better without pad or with an old Noname pad that I've dug up again, which is not even 100% flat. Nevertheless, the mouse works on any other surface than previously this "laser mouse" gaming mouse mat. Extremely disappointing. From a technical background for me and also for absolutely incomprehensible and very unfortunate.
So far it was the best mouse pad, what I had. But a mouse pad that explicitly advertises Laser Mouse Unterstütung, must also be able in the current real laser mice. Because the mouse pad, if it works with mouse used, is super, I forgive 2 stars. But I am very disappointed by SteelSeries.
