The task of a tripod is to hold the camera at all possible and impossible conditions stable. Especially expensive tripods I expect that they fulfill this job uncompromising. The Sirui M-3204 is anything but cheap, so it must be based on this standard can be measured.
Unfortunately, the Sirui M-3204 is not optimally designed in my view in terms of stability:
The highest incidence of the legs is to my mind, and compared to many other stands too steep. Thus, the M-3204 wins while at fully extended legs to height (a selling point!), But the ratio VCN tripod height to floor space (the floor space between the legs) is too large. No one drives your legs completely and has a longer lens to the camera, so the focus can come outside the footprint of the tripod. A then very shaky and risk of tipping thing. Opt for a flatter angle, I'm in an area where the stiffness of the legs is no longer optimal.
The tripod base of the M-3204 is not rigid enough to me. Although the legs are adequately dimensioned with 32mm, the tripod base and fastening the legs keeps as but not with.
The detachable monopod is a nice gimmick. Unfortunately, there is another screw that I need to check for tightness, I will ensure a secure stable stand.
In order to make a false impression arise: The above written is whining at a high level and the Sirui is a cleanly designed tripod that will certainly serve you well for many photographers. Unfortunately, it shows that the old principle still true after a tripod can not be at the same time easy to pack small, stable and built up high. Compromising on stability for myself but most unacceptable.
