The build quality is good, but it's not much truth to the part. Until the camera balanced correctly, you have to try for a while and play with the weights. The goal must be that the camera and the boom are below the same weight. This can be seen by moving the tripod to the left and right. Camera remains in balance, then the weight is set correctly. Tilts them while moving, then the page is too heavy, the lags of motion (inertia).
A problem with the balancing is that there are only three weights, which are then so must be combined to fit. In addition, it is possible the lower boom still switched on and off to make the fine adjustment. The weights range from the way even compensate for a compact camera.
In use, the stand itself served its purpose, but no miracles. Of course you can not compare with a Steadycam for the price of a small car the result. But with a little practice you can move the arm so quiet that the movements are beautifully smooth. If you film with slightly outstretched arm, the vibrations are compensated by the steps involved in each case. Pans and movements have to be a little used to it, how to get the best riff.
One problem with this design, the Steadycams is that the camera can be moved only horizontally up and down is not during filming.
When one considers this, then you have quite fun with the little tripod.
