Windows XP well mark the presence of a recorder, but can read its "label" in ROM let alone the name of the CD or DVD in it. (SATA burner was a new unwrapped SAMSUNG purchased from Amazon).
Furthermore this adapter in XP monopolizes the IDE port and thus mask the other device in FDI, the latter has been in Master or Slave. Very annoying is not it ...
Another user (Mr. Franck HARDOUIN) made the same observations in Windows XP.
