Because I've done the tablet only to protect the apartment in this shell (I move the tablet rarely outside), its protective function adequately. Who travels a lot, should think about another shell which completely surrounds the device thus also on the sides. This one does not. The locking mechanism is sufficient for home, the way he can, however, through the open design of the casing accidentally when packing / transporting open, and so turn on the device, the corresponding function should be freed. For turning on / off the unit by opening / closing the lid works flawlessly, as long as you not going too slow.
A disadvantage, which is why only four stars are awarded to me is the fact that the material does not follow frequent flipping the cover by 180 °. After about three months broke the narrow back of the envelope from an approximately 6 millimeters long edge, which suddenly and surprisingly was in my hand when you lift the lid. On the opposite side also shows already a fault line. And what is to be found in other cases, can also be found here: If Open with plugged USB cable the lid, you can not close it, and vice versa does not open, it should be closed when plugging the cable. Perhaps a manufacturer comes diesbezüglichmal to a better solution.
Edit 12/28/2014:
I've just discovered at one point of the enclosure a small crack (looks like cracked). Small but available. After four months now in use, without being subjected to greater stresses, the material still seems to be less resistant than expected.
Therefore, I revise the rating down to three stars, and the article can only conditionally recommended. After such a short time such a thing should not happen easily.
